What is the EMSELLA By MAUD Medical?

This kegel chair contains a powerful magnet (2.5 Tesla, similar strength to MRI). During EMSELLA treatment, you will sit on the chair completely clothed or wearing full bottom underwear. We recommend wearing full bottom underwear only to help achieve best results and positioning during treatment. Those who are pregnant, have any metal, electronic devices, or copper IUDs may not be treated.

Urinary incontinence is defined as the involuntary leakage of urine. It is very common in women and typically a result of weak pelvic floor muscles. Pelvic floor muscles play an important role in supporting pelvic organs and controlling continence, and weak muscles are less capable of supporting youe pelvic organs and controlling continence.

There are three different types of urinary incontinence:

1. Stress incontinence: is when there is exerted pressure on the bladder causing leakage. This can be caused by coughing, laughing, sneezing, or exercising.

2. Urge: is the sudden, intense urge to urinate frequently.

3. Mixed incontinence: is a combination of both stress and urge incontinence.
