    She is a member of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) and is a NAMS certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP).

    Patients seek her expertise in contraceptive counselling, IUD insertion/management, menstrual disorders, menopause management (including medical hormone therapy and non-hormonal options), sexual health, early prenatal care. Dr.Heydari practices shared decision making and strives to provide patient education. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking new recipes with her husband and spending time with family.

  • Dr. Shymansky earned her medical degree from the University of Calgary and subsequently completed two years of Obstetrics and Gynaecology residency prior to transitioning into Family Medicine. Dr. Shymansky’s areas of interest include contraception counselling, IUD insertion, abnormal uterine bleeding and prenatal care. Dr. Shymansky is dedicated to promoting women's health and educating patients, prioritizing open communication and a supportive environment for women of all ages. In her free time, she finds enjoyment in reading, traveling, and discovering new culinary experiences at restaurants.

  • Dr. Mansoor completed her MD at the University of Saskatchewan before moving to Calgary where she trained to become a Family Doctor. She is passionate about delivering equitable, accessible, and inclusive health care to all people of all backgrounds. Her interests include, but are not limited to, providing sexual health counselling and care, management for issues related to the menstrual cycle, contraceptive advice and counselling, IUD removals/insertions, PAP smears, and post menopausal symptom management. When she’s not working, Dr. Mansoor likes to read and escape in the pages of a good book, try new recipes, and is always down for a games night with family and friends!

  • Dr. Jennifer Adams, MD, FRCSC Gynecologist, Women’s Health Education Lead

    Dr. Adams is not available for 1:1 consultations within MAUD.
    She leads educational workshops and group education related to vaginal health. She shares GYNE health topics in our monthly newsletters as her aim is to keep patients informed on women’s health topics and the latest research. Dr. Adams has been a board-certified Gynecologist since 2011, completing her surgical training at Western University. Always having a passion for educating and teaching, Dr. Adams was heavily involved in resident and student education while an Assistant Professor of Gynecology at Memorial University.

  • Dr. Jimmy Kwok has been a Geriatrician for over 20 years with an active role in Calgary & Vancouver hospital care. Alongside his hospital routine, he continues to pursue his special interest in optimizing health for men. In particular, male sexual function and sexual health in Calgary.

Torri Barnes, Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist , Pessary Care, EMSELLA By MAUD
  • Torri graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta, after completing a Bachelor of Kinesiology with Honours at the University of Calgary. The first few years of her career were spent with a mentor, focusing primarily on patients with on-going hip pain. In this population, Torri noted a large portion of her patients describing co-existing pelvic issues. Torri then completed post-graduate education in Pelvic Health and IMS (dry needling), registered through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

    Torri is passionate about the hip and pelvic floor, and strongly believes in evidence-based exercise prescription and education throughout the rehabilitation process. Her focus is to promote health and wellness through injury prevention, rehabilitation and exercise education.

    Her areas of focus include pre-post natal health, C section recovery, diastasis recti, activity throughout pregnancy, return to activity postnatally, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, pessary fitting, Pessary cleaning, groin pain, labral tears and hip pain.

  • Betty is a dedicated pelvic floor physiotherapist committed to providing compassionate care to individuals of all genders. With a deep passion for helping those experiencing pelvic pain, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and more, Betty strives to empower patients on their journey to wellness.

  • March Chai graduated from Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, with a dual major in both Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She believes in treating the root and the branch (symptom) of a condition simultaneously. She achieves this by combining Five Element Theory, Balance Theory, and Meridian Theory in her treatments. She is constantly expanding and deepening her expertise in acupuncture and TCM.

    She has been treating a wide range of health concerns using acupuncture, cupping, and herbs, with an emphasis on all aspects of women’s health. That experience includes general pain management, fertility, period pain, PMS/PMDD, mental health, headaches and migraines, digestion, pre-natal and post-natal care, pre-menopause, and menopause.

    She takes a collaborative and educational approach in her practice, by encouraging open and clear communication, allowing patients to make informed decisions that reflect their personal histories and goals. Every person is unique, and every treatment must be tailored accordingly.

    Hilary is excited to be offering pessary fittings and care at Maud Medical. Having personally experienced the positive impact pessaries can have, she is committed to guiding others in similar situations toward attaining similar benefits. With a deep understanding of pelvic pain, bladder and bowel concerns, and other related issues, Hilary is dedicated to providing personalized care and support to every individual who seeks her expertise.

  • Emma Molina, R. Kin - Viasure and EMSELLA Consultant at MAUD. Graduating from University of Calgary and a Registered Kinesiologist with the Alberta Kinesiology Association (AKA). Emma’s areas of interest are improving well-being through sexual health education and services. Prior to joining the team at MAUD Medical Clinic, Emma was a sexual health educator delivering programs to people of all ages in Calgary and the surrounding area.

    With a deep passion for reducing barriers to accessing care, Emma is committed to providing trauma informed, safer, and more inclusive care for everyone. She takes a collaborate and educational approach to her practice, by encouraging open and clear communication, to support patients in making informed decisions that reflect their unique experiences and goals.

    Outside of the clinic, Emma can be found supporting the community through events, fundraisers, and attending almost all the local markets. Emma is also a photographer working with different non-profit organizations and music artists!

  • Julie Munch is an experienced Occupational Therapist with a special interest in sexuality and sexual function. She supports oncology patients to regain pleasure.

    Julie's specialties include managing symptoms of menopause, improving issues with sensation, vaginal dryness, desire and pleasure. Intimacy counselling is available for individual or couples.
